Rooster Roast: Purpose

The Rooster Roast has been online and active for over a year. It is an online weblog, dedicated to the subject of World Literature. What "World Literature" includes is fiction, theoretical non-fiction, and commentaries on the nature of social trends. The Rooster Roast celebrates the freedom to create new perspectives of reality, while remaining aware of the social forces that both hinder and help the creative literary process. It is critical and sensitive to political dimensions, yet strives to remain whimsical in its project of literary recreation.

This being said, let it be known that The Rooster Roast does in fact have a purpose, a mission, a specialized field of concentration. Its headline, "Think and Crow," reflects the innate power of the rooster as a figure that wakes others up, that roosts to keeps his peace at night, and that does not become noodle-legged when compelled to roast those that intentionally block others' freedoms.
