Maffick: (v.) To celebrate, to revel, to enjoy hysterically. This word is, according to the OED, mostly used in the journalism world. The word comes from a pun on the word Mafeking, a town in South Africa which housed a British garrison, and whose closure caused a great deal of celebration.
